Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (HEMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether polymer based on cellulose, a natural polymer derived from refine cotton linter.
The degree of substitution and modification of substituent, allows the different chemical properties and benefits after alkalization and etherification reactions with Sodium hydroxide,Cholromethane, and ethylene oxide.
HEMC is better performance in terms of higher gel temperature and hydrophilicity rely on ethyl substituent groups.
SLEOCHEM’s products have been widely used in various industries, including tile adhesives, grouts, skim coat/wall putty, cement renders, gypsum-based products, cement-based mortars.
